The drum is the thing with the green handle in the front when you raise the top cover. You should have removed it when you worked on the solenoid. It is the consumable image drum. Lift up on the handle and remove it. Now if you are talking about the carousel which holds the toner cartridges that is something different. If it is not moving then you really screwed something up when you worked on the solenoid. When you remove the solenoid the carousel will move freely since it is the solenoid L arm that stops it from turning. Remove the top cover and take a picture of the right side with the top cover removed so we can see exactly what you may have done wrong.
What bother me is your description in the post above:

You do not remove the carousel to remove the solenoid so I do not know that you did. You just remove the left and right covers and then the top cover. You remove the formatter and then the motor which is held by two screws on the right side that attaches to the cage the solenoid is located. You then remove the top of the cage and just remove the one screw that hold the solenoid. You disconnect the yellow wire from the board on the right side you can slide the wire up to move the solenoid to where you can work on it. You leave the end of the yellow wire to pull down after the solenoid is fixed and screwed back in. I really have no idea what you did so some pictures might help. If you actually removed the complete carousel then you may have messed it up where you will need to take it in to someone who knows the inner workings of the printer. Impossible to know here on this forum as you may have bit off more then you can handle.
