All pages of a document are printing on top of each other, on one sheet. This happens on MS-Office documents and pdf's. For example, a 30 page document will print out 1 sheet that will look almost completely black, with all the pages printing on one sheet.
The problem does not occur when using my desktop account with the same documents on another computer, connected to the same networked printer.
This problem showed up after a weekend when I was told that IT pushed some OS updates, but they do not show anyone else having this same problem.
I re-booted and re-installed the printer driver several times (supplied from a network share).
I disabled "Advanced Printing Features" and "Print Optimizations" in the Printer Preferences Advanced Options panel
also i stopped the print spooler service and checked the spooler directory - it was empty
