Security advisory for HP 2055d - firmware upgrade from a GNU/Linux machine?

Hello,

 

The security advisory:

advises updating the firmware for a large range of printers including the P2055d which we own. However the link to the firmware page:

contains no platform-neutral firmware downloads, unlike other printer pages on the site. We run GNU/Linux throughout the company and have no Windows or Mac machines to run a firmware update program on.

 

The Windows download ljp2055_FW_Update_20131112_SIGNED.exe contains a file hp2055d.bin - is this the firmware? Do these firmware files no longer have an .rfu extension, as the older documentation suggests they should?
