Keep in mind any toner you see on the etb (transfer belt black piece) when you open the toner door will not appear on the front of the printed page but on the back of the page if there is a problem. Now one thing which could be happening is the calculation of the percentage of remaining toner could be off. Unfortunately even if off there is no way to correct it. If you print a supplies status page you will see how much toner the printer "thinks" is left in each toner. The number remaining is based on a percentage of coverage that usually is fixed into the printer's memory during the first 1K of printing. In other words if any of the toners say based on less than 5% coverage, odds are the printer is not reading the correct amount of toner left in each toner. If on the other hand the percentages are correct, hp toners come with a warranty which I believe is valid until there is less than 10% toner left in the cartridge. If I am correct, call hp or return the toners to where you purchased for replacement.
