Since it is a network printer just connect to the computers you need black and white as a local tcp/ip printer, bypassing the server or just load lets say the driver for the hp4000 on the server and rename it for your printer but call it mono. Any older hp mono driver should work.
Actually it's a network printer in a lab and only the computers in that lab will print to that printer. we don't have a print server for that printer. for now i installed the printer as a local tcp/ip printer on all the computers using the univeral printer driver.
My questions :
Can we allow
1) Only the students who use those computers have to print in black/white and the teacher account have to print in color.
or
2)all the computers in the lab have to print in black and white.
to install mono drivers on each and every computer will take much time. could you please suggest any good solution.
