I have a client with a 4100TN that after the 3rd or 4th page stops printing (the printer is still running, but no pages come out) and they have to shut it down every single print job of more than 3/4 pages.
From my understanding, before we installed the JetDirect card and it was directly connected to their old server via parallel it didn't have this problem. Now that we have installed the JetDirect so it is networkable, this problem has started.
Here are the steps I have taken:
Replaced 610n card with a 620n card - same result
Reset entire printer back to defaults, re-configured for their network - same result
Tried new static IP on JetDirect - same result
Tried both EIO slots on printer - same result
Updated firmware on both old and new JetDirects - same result
Reset maintenance count - same result
Inspected both paper trays, pickup rollers look decent - same result
Inspected aftermarket toner, looked decent - same result
Only other thing I can think of is adding additional RAM. Would that fix this issue?
Or is it more hardware related, i.e. - fuser?
