We have a HP LaserJet 5000. Recently, the toner has not been sticking well to the prints. You can rub off areas easily with your finger, but is still sticks much more than if the fuser were not working at all. This seems to be a problem with the fuser, but there is no error message on the printer for the fuser, and I replaced the fuser with a rebuilt unit about 4000 pages ago. The toner was sticking well after replacing the fuser. We are using the same paper we have always used. I tried increasing the fuser setting to "high", but that didn't seem to help. I read that sometimes low voltage at the receptacle can be a cause, since the fuser can't draw enough current to get hot enough. We do have another laser printer plugged into the same receptacle, but the both printers have been in use for long before this problem started.
Would there be something else besides the fuser that would cause this problem?
