I used to have my Lj 3052 installed as network device (Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and HPLIP). From one day to another it stopped printing. After having it reinstalled as local device (USB) I can print but scanning results in a driver communication error.
Several reinstallations of HPLIP did not solve the problem: Printing via USB ok, scanning not. I even cannot find a way to set it up as a network device again.
Any help appreciated, I simply have no idea.
